1. Heart Disease
Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States, and it plagues many men as well. Heart disease can lead to blockages and heart attacks, which can come out of nowhere and cause immediate death. If you want to avoid heart disease, you'll do well to limit your intake of animal fats and sugars.
You'll want to stick to lean chicken and turkey instead of choosing red meats like beef and pork. In addition, try to eat more fruits and vegetables and less starchy and sugary food. 2. Type 2 Diabetes
Just as those who have heart disease, those who have type II diabetes need to eat a balanced diet full of fruits, veggies, whole grains and lean proteins. You'll need to avoid too many simple sugars. This includes basic table sugar in any form, so candies, cookies, ice cream, and brownies will be excluded except in extremely small or modified portions.
In addition, try to stay away from simple carbs like white bread, white rice, and pasta. These foods are converted into sugar quickly by the body, and they can mess with your insulin levels and cause high blood sugar.
3. Kidney or Liver Disease
With kidney or liver disease, your body has trouble filtering through the foods that you eat. Those with these diseases need to eat a balanced diet with a lot of fruits and vegetables, but they'll have to avoid consuming too much potassium, so avoid bananas, spinach, and kale in excess. You'll also want to avoid alcohol, caffeine in high doses and too much salt.
